Winter SuperBlend® is our high-fat seed blend, formulated to give them the calories they need to stay warm and make it through the night. Winter is one of the best times of year to feed: hungry birds are active, and your feeders can be busier than ever.
Serve the loose seed in a tube, tray, or hopper feeder, and offer the seed cylinder in our Tidy Cylinder Feeder, our favorite way to serve cylinders.
What’s in Winter SuperBlend® seed
Every ingredient is chosen for one job: pack in as much winter energy as possible.
Sunflower chips: Shell-free and rich in fat, so birds get full value from every bite.
Pecans, peanuts, and tree nuts: Dense, high-calorie nuts that birds go after first.
Bark Butter® Bits: Crunchy bites of peanuts, oats, and suet-style fat for extra staying power on cold nights.
Nutrasaff®: WBU’s safflower, a favorite of cardinals and chickadees.
Use it on its own or mix it into your regular blend.
Who you’ll see: chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, woodpeckers, cardinals, finches, and juncos.
Winter SuperBlend® Seed Cylinder
Our highest-energy winter blend, pressed into a cylinder that fits our Tidy Cylinder Feeder.
What’s in it: The same energy-packed mix as our loose Winter SuperBlend: sunflower chips, pecans, peanuts, tree nuts, Bark Butter® Bits, and safflower.
Why birds (and bird-watchers) love it:
